Creative Assistant

London

17V28 is looking for a creative assistant to join our tiny team and help us grow – from social media to brand, creative projects, and everything in between.

about the role

we’re a tiny team of three who built a creative app used by 1.5 million people – with a whole lot of love and doing everything by hand. now we’re looking for a fourth person to join us.

this is a full-time, london-based contractor role. you’ll be working directly with the founders on everything creative – making posts, shaping how we look and sound, brainstorming ideas, and helping us take 17V28 to the next level.

we don’t have an office. we work remotely and meet in person a couple of times a week in london for brainstorms, creative sessions, or just to work together. we need someone who thrives in this kind of setup – independent, self-motivated, but excited to collaborate when we’re together.

this isn’t a 9-to-5 role at a big company. it’s joining a small, fast-moving team where your ideas actually happen, your voice matters from day one, and no two weeks look the same.

what you’ll do

• create content for our social media – design posts, covers, and stories in 17V28, plan and edit reels & tiktoks (instagram, tiktok, pinterest, youtube);

• help shape our content strategy and come up with creative ideas for what we post and how we show up;

• help create in-app content – design templates and stickers that go directly into 17V28 for our users;

• assist with PR, collaborations, events, and any creative projects we dream up together;

• take ownership of projects from idea to execution – we need someone who can run with things independently.

who we’re looking for

visual taste that matches ours – this is the most important thing. you get the 17V28 aesthetic instinctively, not because someone explained it to you;

extreme attention to detail – you notice when a font is off, when a caption has a typo, when a colour doesn’t match. this is non-negotiable;

experience in marketing, social media, or creative work – whether through a role, an internship, or building something of your own;

strong design eye and good taste in content – you know what makes a good instagram feed, you have an active Pinterest, you’re always saving inspo;

ability to work independently and take initiative – we don’t micromanage. we need someone who delivers without being chased;

reliability and accountability – you respect deadlines, you communicate proactively, you follow through;

super structured and organised – you love spreadsheets, trackers, clean formatting, and keeping everything in order. if you naturally organise things into neat documents and tables, you’re our kind of person;

fluent english (written and spoken) with a feel for our friendly, lowercase, warm tone of voice;

familiarity with instagram, tiktok, pinterest and a genuine interest in how creative brands show up online;

comfortable with modern tools – figma, capcut or final cut pro, photoshop, asana, AI tools. you don’t need to know all of them, but you pick things up fast;

reel editing skills – you can shoot, edit, and deliver short-form video content.

what we offer

• the chance to be the fourth person in a team that’s built something used by millions – and to help shape what comes next;

• working closely with the founders and having a real say in how the product, the brand, and the ideas come to life;

• a creative, fast-growing environment where you’ll learn more in a few months than most people do in years;

• real ownership of projects and the freedom to bring your ideas to life;

• flexible schedule and remote work, with in-person meetups in london;

• room to grow with us – we’re looking for someone long-term, not a quick hire.

test assignment – round 1

as part of your application, please complete all of the following:

1. Content plan: we usually release new content in the app every week. imagine that this week, something went wrong and there’s no release. suggest 3 post ideas for our instagram – for each one, tell us the format (carousel post or reel) and briefly describe the idea.

2. Create a post cover: this week we’re releasing new location tools in the app. create a cover image for an instagram post announcing this release. use 17V28 to make it. attach the image to your application.

3. Write a caption: write a caption for the post from task 2, in our tone of voice.

4. Collaboration idea: suggest one brand, creator, or business you think would be a great collaboration partner for 17V28. tell us who, why they’re a match, and what the collaboration could look like.

Note: candidates who successfully complete this stage will be invited to an interview, followed by a second creative assignment.
